    Dialogue 1 
    Dave and Tara have just arrived in Tokyo. Today is their first day in the city.
    戴夫和泰拉剛抵達東京,今天是他們在東京的第一天。
    Dave: This city is awesome! It's even more amazing than I thought it would be! 戴夫: 這地方真棒!比我想像中的驚人。
    Tara: So, what should we do today? 泰拉: 那我們今天要做什麼?
    Dave: Let's go shopping on the Ginza and then get some lunch. 戴夫: 我們去銀座逛街買東西,然後去吃中飯。
    Tara: Sounds good to me! I brought all of our credit cards! 泰拉: 聽起來不錯!我把信用卡全帶來了!
    Dave: There are so many great foods to choose from. 戴夫: 有很多美味的料理可選擇。
    Tara: Let's have lunch at a sushi bar. 泰拉: 我們去家壽司店吃午餐吧。
    Dave: And in the afternoon, we can take a ride on the bullet train. 戴夫: 下午的時候,我們可以去坐坐子彈列車。
    Tara: No, let's just take a ride on the subway. That's a big enough adventure for me. 泰拉: 不要,我們搭地下鐵就好了。對我來說這樣就夠刺激了。
    Dialogue 2 
    Dave and Tara are getting ready to order lunch at a sushi bar.
    戴夫和泰拉在壽司店裡準備點午餐。
    Tara: Look at all of this food! I've never seen so many amazingly colorful dishes before! 泰拉: 瞧瞧這些食物!我從沒看過這麼五彩絢麗的料理!
    Dave: Well, the Japanese eat more fish than any other culture in the world. 大衛: 嗯,比起世界其它民族,日本人吃魚吃得比較多。
    Tara: I don't really know what to order. Do they have a menu? 泰拉: 我不太曉得要點些什麼,他們有菜單嗎?
    Dave: They do, but I'm afraid it's all in Japanese. 大衛: 有啊,可是恐怕都是日文。
    Tara: Never mind. We can just point to whatever we want. 泰拉: 沒關係,我們可以指我們要吃的。
    Dave: OK. I would like that sushi, some tempura with extra wasabi... 大衛: 好,我想吃那個壽司,一些天婦羅加芥末……
    Tara: Slow down! It's my turn. I want some barbecued eel and a bowl of miso soup. 泰拉: 慢點啦!輪到我了,我要一些烤鰻魚和一碗味噌湯。
    Dave: What about something to drink? How about a warm glass of sake? 大衛: 要喝點什麼嗎?來杯熱清酒如何?
    Tara: Why not! After all, we are on vacation. 泰拉: 好啊!畢竟我們在渡假。
