The Farmer and the Goats (1) |
One stormy winter night, a farmer noted that another farmer's goats were on his land. He was quite excited. "If these new goats stay here, I can sell them in the spring," he thought. |
The farmer made sure that the new goats were comfortable. He let them stay in the warm barn and gave them large piles of hay to eat. |
Meanwhile, he showed no concern for his old goats. He left them out in the bitter wind and gave them almost no food. They were cold and hungry all night long. |
