The next morning, the storm was over and the sun was shining. When the farmer opened the barn doors, the goats rushed out as quickly as they could. "How can you leave?" shouted the farmer angrily. "I was so generous to all of you!" |

"Yes," said one of the goats, "but you ignored your own goats on a stormy night. We fear that one day you will be careless with us, too |

The farmer learned that you shouldn't forget about old friends when you are trying to make new ones. |
