During his career, Chaplin made over eighty films. Most of them are black-and-white silent movies. He used action and timing to show humor and emotion. |

Most of Chaplin's movies are about common people. His most famous character is "the Tramp." The Tramp wore big pants, a small coat, a small hat, and had a little mustache. The character had no home, but he was friendly, happy, and lived an interesting life. |

In his movies Chaplin worked hard to make people laugh and think, and he often did it without saying a word. |
