The Ig Nobel Prizes: Laughing and Thinking (2)

Some people don't want to win Ig Nobel Prizes because they're very serious about their work. Others enjoy winning. In 2006, one winner wore a woodpecker costume to receive his prize. He won because he had studied why woodpeckers don't get headaches.
Ig Nobel Prizes have been given out every October since 1991. They may be silly, but many people look forward to them every year. For these fans, being serious isn't necessary. Being silly is OK as long as you make people think, too.
