Cockroaches are also hard to catch. They can run three miles per hour and make twenty-five body turns in one second! That's faster than any animal in the world.

Cockroaches also have special body parts called "cerci." These cerci can feel movement in the air when you are getting close to them. They tell the cockroach's legs to start running. Cockroaches begin to run even before their brains know that you are there!

The next time you see a cockroach on your pizza, stop and think about what an amazing insect it really is.

要逮到蟑螂比登天還難。牠們每小時可以跑三英里，身體能在一秒鐘內轉動二十五次。比世界上任何動物都還敏捷。

蟑螂的身體還有個特殊部位稱作「尾毛」；當有人接近時，尾毛可以感受到空氣的流動，然後就會通知蟑螂的腳準備開溜。蟑螂甚至會在牠大腦知道有人接近之前就開始落跑！

下次看到披薩上面有隻蟑螂時，停下來想想，這可是隻不可思議的昆蟲呢。
