		說明：
		由於 down 本身還有「向下」的意思，因此 burn down 常指東西、建築物等「整個被燒毀只剩地上殘破的碎片或瓦礫」。burn 的過去式用 burned 或 burnt 皆可。

		示範句：
		Our house burned down, and now we have nowhere to live.
		我們的房子燒毀了，現在我們無處可去。

		There was a terrible fire last year, and the library burned down.
		去年一場可怕的大火將這間圖書館整個燒毀了。

			burn (sth) to the ground 「將……燒毀；把……燒個精光」
			The boy almost burnt his home to the ground by playing with matches.
			那男孩玩火柴差點把他家燒個精光。

			burn out 「累壞了；疲憊」
			She was completely burnt out after working all day.
			在工作一整天後，她完全累壞了。



		說明：
		burst out + V-ing 指「突然（做某事）」。

			burst into「（突然）衝進」
			The police burst into the apartment to arrest the criminal.

Halloween is a special day in many Western countries, especially the United States. During the day, children must go to school, but they have a great time there. Many elementary schools make the day a fun one.

Children often wear costumes to school on Halloween. Instead of having classes, there are Halloween activities. Most students make Halloween art for their classrooms. Younger kids draw pictures of things like witches and jack-o'-lanterns. Older children might turn classrooms into haunted houses!

萬聖節在許多西方國家是一個特別的日子，尤其是在美國。萬聖節那天，雖然孩子們必須要上學，但在學校裡卻玩得不亦樂乎。許多小學把萬聖節那天變得樂趣無窮。

萬聖節那天，孩子們會裝扮好才去學校。學校不會上課，而會有萬聖節活動。大多數的學生會替他們的教室製作萬聖節美術品。年紀小的孩子通常會畫圖，像是女巫或南瓜燈等。而年紀大一點的孩子，還可能會把教室佈置成鬼屋。
