By the next autumn, life was much better. The Pilgrims had a good harvest and had lots of food for the winter. |

They remembered the help of the Wampanoag people. The Pilgrims invited them to a big feast. Everybody sat down together to eat turkey and vegetables from the harvest, and the feast lasted for three days. |

Today, Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November. Americans travel from all over to be with their families. They eat delicious food and think about all the things they are thankful for. |
