		a. 繼續進行（後接 V-ing）
		示範句：
		Can you carry on working even when people are talking?
		就算有人在說話，你也可以繼續工作嗎？

		Even though I finished my homework, I carried on studying for another hour.
		即使我做完家庭作業，我又繼續讀了一小時書。

		b. 喋喋不休地訴說、吵鬧
		示範句：
		When his sister took his toy, Nathan carried on for hours!
		當奈森的玩具被姊姊拿走時，他吵了好幾個小時！

		I could hear people partying and carrying on in the upstairs apartment until
		3:00 AM.
		直到凌晨三點，我還能聽到有人在樓上公寓開派對和吵吵鬧鬧。

			carry on 除單獨使用外，主要以 carry on with sth、carry on V-ing 這兩種句型出現，表示「
			繼續進行（某事物）」。
			Professor Smith carried on with his research in secret.
			史密斯教授繼續秘密進行他的研究。

使用情境

⊙	一；一個
⊙	當不定代名詞時，代替之前出現過的單數可數名詞

⊙	當不定代名詞時，代替之前出現過的複數可數名詞

注意

one 當不定代名詞使用時，不可以代替不可數名詞喔！

示範句：

one

There is only one fish in the fishbowl.

只有一隻魚在魚缸裡。

If you need a pen, I can give you one.

如果你需要筆，我可以給你一支。

ones

Are these shoes the ones you are looking for?

這是你要找的鞋子嗎？

Those athletes are the ones who always win the trophies.

那些就是總是贏得獎盃的運動員。

The Fox and the Goat (2)

狐貍與山羊 (2)

"We'll help each other," said the fox. "Put your front feet on the wall. I will climb up your back. Then I will help you get out."

The goat agreed. He placed his feet on the wall. The fox quickly climbed out and started to run away. "Come back!" cried the goat. "I can't get out of the well by myself!"

The fox turned back and said, "You silly old goat! Jumping into the well was a foolish decision. You should always think twice before you act."

狐狸說：「我們要助彼此一臂之力，把你的前腳靠在牆上，我會爬到你的背上，然後我再來幫你出去。」

山羊同意這個方法。他把腳靠在牆上。狐狸很快地就爬出去，且開始要跑走。山羊哭喊著：「回來啊！我自己一個人出不去啊。」

狐狸繞回來說：「你這頭愚蠢的老山羊，跳進井裡是個愚蠢的決定，在你做任何事情之前，都必須三思才行。」
