		說明：
		a. 常以 catch up + with + sb/sth 句型表示「趕上……」。

		示範句：
		I ran down the road, hoping to catch up with the bus at the traffic light.
		我一路跑過去，希望能在紅綠燈附近趕上公車。

		The team was so far behind that they would never catch up.
		那一隊落後太多了，他們絕對趕不上的。

		The police caught up with the thief at the airport.
		警方在機場追上那名小偷。

		b. 常以 catch up + on + sth 句型表示「趕完、彌補（耽擱下的工作、學習、睡眠等）」。

		示範句：
		I think I should catch up on some sleep.
		我想我應要補一點眠。

		Cindy needs to catch up on her homework assignments.
		辛蒂需要趕上她的功課進度。

		You need to catch up on all the new changes at work.
		你需要趕上工作上所有的新變化。

			catch up 亦可指「聊聊近況」（通常用於許久未見的朋友身上）
			We should sit down and catch up on old times.
			我們該坐下來聊聊過往。

			We've caught up on work; now, let's catch up on gossip!
			工作進度我們已經趕上了，現在來補點八卦吧！

incident

There was an incident between Bill and John at work.

比爾和約翰在工作上發生了不愉快。

The meeting finished without incident.

那場會議順利無誤地結束。

The snake lifted up her head and looked at the lioness. "Why do you speak? I have fifty babies, and you only have one. That's nothing." The other animals agreed with the snake.

The lioness laughed. "I only have one, but it is a lion. Only a lion can be the king of the jungle."

The other animals could think of nothing to say. They had many babies, but none of them would ever be as strong as a lion. "One valuable thing," said the lioness, "is worth more than a hundred common ones."

那條蛇昂首看著母獅子：「妳為何開口？我有五十個小孩，妳才只有一個，根本就不夠看。」其他動物也同意蛇的說法。

母獅子笑了笑：「我只有一個小孩，但牠是隻獅子，只有獅子可能一隻就稱霸森林。」

其他動物想不出能說什麼，他們有許多小孩，可是沒有一個能像獅子一樣強壯。母獅子說：「一件有價值的東西，勝過一百件平凡的東西。」
