		cut down on + sth 用來表示「減少……的數量；減少使用……」。

		示範句：
		Cutting down on sugar in your diet is good for your health.
		飲食減少糖分的攝取對你的健康有益。

		She should cut down on her meals because she has gained a lot of weight.
		她應該減少用餐量，因為她體重大增。

			cut down 亦可指「減少；削減」，但通常必須明確指出是哪些事物或對象。
			I need to cut down the time I spend looking for information.
			我必須減少花在找資料的時間。

			This article is too long. It needs to be cut down before we can publish it.
			這篇文章太長了，需要經過刪減才能出版。

A farmer wanted to bring ten bags of rice to the market and sell them. He put five bags of rice on his horse and five bags of rice on his donkey.

The bags were very heavy, and soon the donkey became tired. "Please," he said to the horse, "could you carry one of my bags for me? They're so heavy, and you are stronger than I am."

"No," said the horse. "I serve the farmer, not you. He gave me five bags to carry, not six! You must do your job, and I must do mine."

有個農夫想帶十袋米去市場賣。他在馬背上放了五袋米，也在驢子背上放了五袋米。

因為這些袋子非常重，驢子很快就累了。牠對馬說：「拜託，幫我揹一袋好嗎？它們好重喔，而且你比我強壯。」
