To find the Blue Bird, the children first went to the Land of Memory. There, they saw their grandparents and siblings, who had been dead for some time. "We come to life when you think of us," they told Tyltyl and Mytyl. "Try not to forget us!" |

Next, the children visited the Palace of Night. Secretly, the sly cat helped Night try to trick Tyltyl and Mytyl so they wouldn't find the bird. The cat then led the children into a trap in the forest, but the loyal dog saved their lives and helped them escape. |
|

Guided by Light, the children searched the Palace of Happiness and the Kingdom of the Future, but they had no luck finding the bird. They returned to their home empty-handed a year after they had left. |
|

Suddenly, the children's mother was shaking them awake. Tyltyl and Mytyl started talking about their long journey to find the Blue Bird. "Are you sick, my children?" their mother asked worriedly. Tyltyl suddenly poked his sister and pointed to the family pet bird. "Look, Mytyl, our bird has turned blue," Tyltyl said. "We searched everywhere for the Blue Bird of Happiness, but he was in our home all this time. Happiness was never far away." |

突然間，孩子們的媽媽把他們搖醒。帝帝爾和米堤兒開始討論關於他們這趟尋找青鳥的長途旅程。他們的媽媽擔心地問著：「你們病了嗎，我的孩子？」帝帝爾突然戳他妹妹並指著他們家的寵物鳥。帝帝爾說：「米堤兒妳看，我們的鳥變成青色了，我們四處尋覓幸福青鳥，但原來牠一直在我們家中。幸福原來離我們不遠。」 |
