  可不可以請你把這四個杯子放在同一個袋子裡？

  我可不可以把這些瓶子放在同一個推車裡？
   
Can he put the two cartons of cigarettes together in the same box?
  可不可以請他把這兩條菸放在同一個盒子裡？

在國外 cheers 並不是真的把杯中物喝光，而只是飲用前的一個招呼說法。在英國 cheers 也有「謝謝」的意思。

  down the hatch 源自於海軍所用的詞彙，在船上hatch 指的就是「門」。當士兵要將補給品運送上船的時候，會將 hatch 打開，然後把一桶桶的酒滾進儲藏室裡。想像一下將嘴巴打開，酒咕嚕咕嚕的往肚子裡頭倒的情形，down the hatch 這個口語是不是生動許多呢？

  bi- 指「二；雙」，而 bin- 源自 bi- 的副詞 bini-，表示「兩兩；兩倍」。由於 bi- 可用來指「每兩……發生一次」或「兩次」，比如 bimonthly 可指「每兩個月一次」和「每個月兩次」，為避免造成混淆，欲表示「每個月兩次」時，可用 semi-（一半）來代替。
