  用於表示需要做某事時，美語中 need 之後接不定詞，而英式英語中 need 作助動詞用，之後接原形動詞。
   
We'll need to purchase a token from that machine.
  我們需要到那台機器購買代幣。
   
I need to stop at Taipei Main Station to change subway lines.
  我需要到台北車站換搭別條捷運線。
   
He'll need to pay the fare when he gets off the bus.
  他下車時得付車費。
   
They might need to give this card to the taxi driver.
  他們或許需要把這張卡給計程車司機。

到底為什麼咖啡色的鼻子會被用來形容拍馬屁呢？brownnose 的起源很有意思喔，它形容一個人為了達到目的，不惜跟前跟後的奉承，臉都貼到別人的屁屁上了，以致於鼻子沾到了咖啡色的排泄物。這些馬屁精們還真是為了達到目的不擇手段啊！

  字首 fore- 表示「先；早」的意思，可以指時間、空間位置或情況。fore- 也帶有「較優異」的意思，如：foreman 就是指「領班；工頭」。英文中有些字首為 for- 的字亦源自此字源，如：forward（向前；前進的）。
