  在英語母語人士的發音中，連音、省略音等的使用是一大特色，例如 How've you been? 唸得快一點聽起來就像 How've ya been?。另外一些常見的例子如： you all 唸起來像 y'all，don't you 唸起來像 don't cha，What's up? 唸起來像 'sup? 等等。
