  用於表示某個情況恰巧發生，it 用來代替真正的主詞 that 子句。

  特賣會總會吸引許多撿便宜的客人，除了清倉特賣（clearance sale）、換季特賣（end-of-season sale），美國常見的特賣會還有：
樣品特賣（sample sale）：設計師折價出售過季服飾。
貴賓特賣（VIP/private sale）：針對具有高消費能力的特定客人所做的特賣會。
廉售特賣（remainder sale）：先用較大幅度的折扣買下清倉物品，再到別處減價出售，通常物品多為書籍。
