  ★這麼用．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．
  用於表示若處在另一個人的處境時，事情會怎麼處理，此亦為提供建議的一句型。If 子句中的動詞恆用 were 表示。
   
If I were you, I'd take the job that pays more.
  我要是你的話，我會選薪水比較高的工作。
   
If I were you, I'd conduct further research before reaching a conclusion.
  我要是你的話，我會先進一步研究再下結論。
   
If she were you, do you think she would have made such a rash decision?
  她要是你的話，你想她會不會做出這麼草率的決定？
   
If they were us, they'd probably make the same mistakes.
  他們要是我們的話，八成也會犯同樣的錯誤。

If I were him, I'd take the boat to Laos.
  我要是他的話，我就會搭船去寮國。
   
If you were the interviewer, what kind of questions would you ask an applicant?
  你若是面試官的話，你會問應徵者什麼樣的問題？

  很多人常用 If I were you 來提供建議，也可以這麼說：
• If I were in your shoes, I'd rent the house instead of buying it.
如果站在你的立場，我會租房子，不會買房子。
• I'm not you, but not wearing a helmet is crazy.
我不是你，不過不戴安全帽簡直是瘋了。

此為建議「該開始行動、該啟程」的說法。
   
Let's get going, or we will get stuck in traffic.
  我們走吧，不然會塞在車陣裡的。
   
A: From here it's a two-hour drive to the coast.
  從這裡到海邊要開兩個小時。
   
B: Then what are we standing around for? Let's get going!
  那我們還站著做什麼？我們走吧！
   
  ★你知道嗎？．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．
  get the show on the road 源自於劇場的用語， 指「讓這場表演開始巡迴演出吧」，引申有「開始吧」的意思，相似的用法還有 get the ball rolling，也是源自於滾動球以宣告比賽正式開始的球類運動。

  指開始行動時，你還可以這麼說 ！

  -ed 用來形成規則動詞的過去式與過去分詞，也可接在名詞之後作形容詞用，如：cultured（有教養的），或接在由形容詞和名詞構成的複合形容詞之後，如：good-humored（好脾氣的）。

公路上被丟棄的車子被拖吊走了。

葛藍心不在焉，常將功課放在家裡桌上。
   
  interested　 adj.　感興趣的
They offered Ed the job, but he was not interested.
  他們提供艾德那份工作，但是他不感興趣。
   
  talented　 adj.　有才能的；有天份的
Some very talented musicians are blind.
  有些天賦異稟的音樂家是視障者。
