詢問對方什麼事情需要這麼急切。通常說此話的人大多為旁觀者，跟事情本身沒有關聯或關聯不大。

  這個你今天可以回給我嗎？

where's the fire 並不是真的在問哪裡發生火災了，而是當有人十萬火急地大呼小叫，就像消防員要去滅火時分秒必爭的樣子，而你並不覺得有這麼急迫時，就可用這句俏皮話來挖苦對方。
