Situation:Harold, a FastTrek customer, calls Betty Fields with a complaint about a shipment.
情境:哈洛德是青雲科技的一位客戶,打電話給貝蒂菲爾德抱怨有關貨運的問題。
Harold:Our agent is having a problem getting our shipment released from customs.
哈洛德:我們的報關行在貨運通關時遇到了麻煩。
Betty:What seems to be the problem?
貝蒂:是什麼問題?
Betty:Did you receive the complete set of shipping documents?
貝蒂:你們有沒有收到完整的貨運單據?
Harold:Yes, but there is a discrepancy on the packing list.
哈洛德:有,但是在包裝明細上有一項不符合的地方。
Harold:It states that the carton, number three, contains RAM chips -- which we didn't order.
哈洛德:上面載明三號箱裡裝有隨機存取記憶晶片,可是我們根本沒有訂。
Harold:It should say sound cards.
哈洛德:上面應該寫音效卡才對。
Betty:Oh. I'm very sorry.
貝蒂:喔,我很抱歉。
Betty:Someone must have made a mistake here when the packing list was prepared.
貝蒂:一定是有人在準備裝箱明細表時把這裡寫錯了。
Harold:Obviously! But that's not the worst of the problems.
哈洛德:顯然是這樣!但這還不是最嚴重的問題。
Betty:What else is wrong?
貝蒂:還有什麼問題?
Harold:The bill of lading states that the terms of payment are DP, which is wrong.
哈洛德:提貨單上說付款方式是付款交單,那是錯誤的。
Betty:Oh, no.
貝蒂:喔,不會吧。
Harold:Yes, and that means we have to show a proof of payment before we can get the goods out of customs.
哈洛德:是的,這表示我們必須出示付款證明才能把貨物從海關提出來。
Betty:OK, listen. Give me thirty minutes to check our records and get to the bottom of this,
貝蒂:好,這樣吧。給我三十分鐘查一下我們的紀錄,找出問題的癥結所在,
Betty:and I'll call you back then.
貝蒂:然後我再回電話給您。
